Our Jaipur workshop involves advanced printing techniques and is more suited for those who have block printed previously.
During our Pattern Printing workshop we will explore using the different Tile & Repeating printing blocks we have, working on getting the perfect repeat print as well as exploring the use of multiple colours on the same design to add more detail to your print.
After a welcome drink and introduction, you will get settled at your printing table, we will spend the morning testing out colours and designs finding the combinations you like the most. We will be on hand to teach you basic and more complicated techniques and help you build confidence with your printing. After practising you will move onto printing stationery items such as Cards, Tags and Wrapping Paper. After lunch you can choose a couple of fabric items to print in the designs you have developed, you’ll leave having had a wonderful day exploring the joys of block printing with a handful of block printed creations!
Materials included in workshop:
- Practice Fabric/ Plain Cotton
- Stationery Items (cards, tags, paper)
- Large Fabric Item (table runner, cushion cover, scarf, turkish towel)
- Small fabric item (tote bag, tea towel, drawstring bag, zip pouch)
Items can be swapped, and additional materials are available to purchase if needed. Our studio shop will be open for any materials you may want to purchase to take home. We accept cash/card. Refreshments, tea, coffee and cake are included in the price of the workshop along with all materials.
