Our half-day printing workshop is a great way to spend the morning being creative! Our Oxfordshire Studio holds everything you need for a fun, relaxing and creative day out with plenty of inspiration to help you during your block printing workshop!
Your day will start with a welcome drink & introduction. You will then rummage through hundreds of designs choosing a section of prints to get started with and a selection of textile colours. We will then give a detailed demonstration showing you how to block print and the equipment you need. After this, it will be time for you to go away and start printing yourselves (Don't worry - we will be on hand to help with any adjustments and advice you might need). You will spend the first hour of the morning testing your chosen designs and colours onto practice fabric, getting confident with different printing techniques. You can then move onto printing a range of different paper & stationery items such as tissue paper, cards & tags. After a break for tea, you will have the ideas and confidence to move on to printing a fabric item, you can choose between a selection of fabric items we will have available. Before heading home, we will fix / heat set your fabric item to make it washable.
Materials included in workshop:
- Practice fabric / plain cotton
- Stationery Items (tags, cards and evnevlopes)
- Tea Towel, Tote Bag or Cushion Cover
- Zip Pouch or Drawstring Bag
Items can be swapped, and additional materials are available to purchase if needed. Our studio shop will be open for any materials you may want to purchase to take home. We accept cash/card. Refreshments, tea, coffee and cake are included in the price of the workshop along with all materials.
