£120.00
Ticket Type

Would you like to explore working with clay? Our 2-part workshop is a wonderful exploration into clay and the use of Indian printing blocks to imprint pattern. The workshop will explore various hand building techniques and you'll make a selection of ceramic items which you will be able to use or display. The pieces made on this workshop will be hard wearing ceramic items that will be dishwasher safe! Due to the clay needing time to dry and fired in-between stages the workshop will run over 2 sessions 4 weeks apart.

Workshop Part 1 is on Thursday 15th Feb In this session you will be making your clay pieces. You will be taught a variety of techniques and make a selection of different clay items imprinted with wooden printing blocks, we would suggest you make:

- 4 x Decorations

- 6 x Tiles/ Coasters

- 1 x Trinket Pot

- 1 x Pinch Pot

- 1 x Platter/ Plate

Your clay pieces will then be left to dry and then fired in the kiln ready for session 2.

Workshop Part 2 is on Thursday 7th March In this session your clay pieces will have been bisque-fired and ready for painting. Using our ceramic paints, you will decorate your clay pieces. Your finished pieces will need another week to be glazed & fired before being collected from our studio or posted back to you.

Suitable for all abilities. You'll then have the chance to book onto our advanced workshop once you've completed this course if you wish to develop your hand building clay skills further.
