Our 'Learn How to Teach Block Printing Workshop' is a jam-packed 2-day course covering the most important areas for anyone who might be looking to start teaching block printing.
This course has been curated to teach those who are looking to start something new, this may be teaching friends & family or on a larger scale such as classes and workshops.
Starting our own block printing workshop studio has taught us many things, we know what works and what doesn’t, and we can advise you on all the areas which are important when starting out. Mostly the 2-day course will give you the confidence to go away and get started. Nearly all our previous guests on our 2-day course say the same thing, imposter syndrome or not feeling 'qualified' was holding them back from getting started, our course will help give you the confidence and the knowledge to overcome this.
The course will have 6 places available to ensure each guest gets 1-on-1 tuition, there will be 2 tutors with you for the two days, Tess and either Annabel or Holly. On day 1 the workshop will begin with a sit-down introduction which will last around 2 hours, we will discuss each guests aim and reason for attending the course and we will discuss the 'behind the scenes' to running workshops such as setting up, pricing, insurance, equipment, sourcing, workshops & timings etc.
The rest of the two days will be spent printing, with the goal to create a range of samples which you can use for your own workshops, and at the same time learning and perfecting printing techniques to ensure your own printing is developing. We have a list of the most popular samples and techniques which we suggest you work through with your tutors help. All of the materials used during the course are included in the cost of the course.
We strongly advise that you only attend this workshop after completing a previous half or full day workshop with us, we have found that guests who already have basic printing knowledge will gain much more from the 2-day course than someone who has never printed before.
