Textile Paint Information
Our textile fabric paint is designed to be used with Indian printing blocks, but is also suitable for other types of printing , painting, sponging and stencilling with. This paint is suitable for light coloured fabrics only due to the transparency of the paint, if you require a paint to print onto dark coloured fabric we suggest using our alternative range of fabric paint which you can view here.
The paint is suitable to be used on fabric & paper. Once used on paper it can be left to dry, it does not require any type of fixing. If used on fabric, it can be made permanent and washable by heat setting
Heat Setting Instructions
Once paint has completely dried on the fabric, you can iron directly onto the print side of the fabric using a hot (steam or dry) iron. Ensure each print gets hot to touch without burning the fabric, repeat process several times. You should iron a fabric item for around 5 minutes. Please watch our heat setting instruction video here.
The fabric is then washable at 40 degrees or under, the better heat set the item of fabric the less fading should occur. Please note some fabrics may need to be washed to remove and treatments which may be on the fabric, if in doubt we suggest washing fabric items before printing.
Textile Paint is Water-based, non toxic.
