Jaipur Pattern Printing Workshop
Our Jaipur workshop focuses on advanced block printing techniques and is best suited for those with prior block printing experience.
During this Pattern Printing workshop, you’ll learn to use a variety of Tile and Repeating Blocks to create perfect repeat patterns. You’ll also explore incorporating multiple colors into your designs, adding depth and detail to your prints.
What to Expect:
- Begin your day with a welcome drink and introduction, followed by time to settle in at your printing table.
- Spend the morning experimenting with colors and designs, discovering your favorite combinations. Our tutors will be on hand to guide you through both basic and advanced techniques, helping you build confidence as you work.
- After practicing, you’ll print on stationery items such as cards, tags, and wrapping paper.
- Following lunch, you’ll select a couple of fabric items to print with the designs you’ve developed. By the end of the day, you’ll leave with a collection of beautiful block-printed creations and a deeper appreciation for this timeless craft.
Materials Included:
- Practice fabric (plain cotton)
- Stationery items (cards, tags, wrapping paper)
- One large fabric item (choose from a table runner, cushion cover, scarf, or Turkish towel)
You can swap included items, and additional materials will be available for purchase if needed. Our studio shop will also be open for any supplies you’d like to take home (cash and card accepted). Come and spend the day exploring the art of pattern printing in a relaxed, creative setting!
